Plus Night Out Fashion Show 2015 in New York
This year at New York Fashion Week's Plus Night Out was going to be very different for me. First, in addition to showing, I had my youngest daughter in tow to move her into her new college dormitory the very next day. Second, this would be the first New York Show that my husband and oldest daughter have attended. Strangely, this made me more nervous than usual. Don't get me wrong, they're my biggest fans. I think it was just the thought of my two worlds colliding: wife/mom vs. fashion designer. I'm not used to doing both at the same time.
When we arrived at the fitting, it was like old home week! Hugs and kisses ensued as I caught up with some of my favorite faces of plus size fashion, models, Nicole Zepeda, Jeannie Ferguson, Samantha Lebbie, Sommer Green, and Vicky Poole.
The show went off without a hitch thanks to Jovanna Reyes of Curvysta Magazine, the event coordinator. She is a stickler for details, and it definitely shows in her work.
